General Information
The SAFE Project is dedicated to eliminating violence. To accomplish this, clients must be empowered to make free decisions concerning all aspects of their lives. As an organization, and as individuals, we are committed to working against racism, homophobia, anti-Semitism, ageism, class discrimination, and all other forms of oppression directed against members of our society.
The SAFE Project general purpose includes:
1. Providing a trauma informed and survivor-led brand of safety, advocacy, education, and empowerment for survivors that can help them to reclaim themselves, their lives, and their future contributions to this world.
2. Establishing cooperative partnerships with those who can help make things better and more just for survivors.
3. Educating the community and those we serve about the dynamics of abuse and life-enriching alternatives.
4. Interrupting patterns of abuse and victim-blaming through innovative education and empowerment of survivors and advocates.
5. Teaching effective strategies and safety planning for non-violent living to survivors and the community at large.
